Just like the 2008 Junior World Champion in WRC and winner end of May of the Portugal Rally, his very first world victory, she is part of the athletes supported by Red Bull. The bond between the Austrian company and the Federal training centre is becoming stronger after the inclusion of Jean-Eric Vergne in 2008, champion of the Academy in 2007, as Red Bull Junior Team driver.
All day long, Burcu Cetinkaya was able to benefit of Auto Sport Academy’s advice and experience in order to perfect her driving.
“Sébastien Ogier presented us Burcu saying she would like to work more on her braking and trajectories. On D-day, M. Monath, coordinator of the project, said she did have a problem with her braking and downshifting, which also caused problems on the reliability of the gear box. We therefore firstly concentrated on the braking quality and in the end of the afternoon, we refined the motor boosts in order to avoid the locking of the gear box. The day after, I received an e-mail from her where, thrilled of her day, she told me she wished to come back after the summer.” comments Christophe Lollier, Sportive Responsible at Auto Sport Academy.
“I am thrilled with my day as I was able to understand and optimize my braking and trajectories. It was the first time I stepped into a single-seater and I needed a little time to get used to it. Plus, the rain came and disturbed the day. But my progress was visible thanks to the instructors and at the end of the day, I was more at ease. I am used to the Formula Academy now and I think that the next time I come, the work will be even more constructive. In any case, I cannot wait to come back as I left Le Mans completely satisfied with my day!” said Burcu Cetinkaya.
This is why Burcu Cetinkaya will be back on September 9th at Auto Sport Academy in order to refine her capacities and perfect her driving.
