Born with a heart deformation, William Vermont was lucky to be taken care of and operated on at once at the age of 11 days with great success. This is why he has a lot of admiration towards the work carried out by the professor Francine LECA, heart surgeon, President of the Cardiac Surgery Association and of her entire team.
The Cardiac Surgery Association allows children affected by serious cardiac diseases and coming from poor countries to be operated on in France, when it is impossible for them to benefit of such care in their own country due to the lack of technical or financial means. Accommodated in host families during their stay in France, approximately 1400 children have therefore been operated on thanks to the association, since its creation in 1996.
For fund collection, Auto Sport Academy will give to the association its stall and 'show car' for the sale of objects sponsoring Cardiac Surgery – the profits will be dedicated to the care given to the children. Donations can also be received.
The association ‘William Activité Promotion’ will hand over a check to sponsor Cardiac Surgery following the '4000 postcards' operation.
Finally, William’s partners will also take the opportunity to hand over a donation for the Cardiac Surgery Association.
"3 years ago, when Jérôme Vermont suggested to us, with true conviction, to fix the colours of the Cardiac Surgery Association on William’s go-kart, we spontaneously accepted the offer without thinking of the real impact and outcome that would result of this “partnership”. Today, besides his talent and his course, we can thank him for his generous and truthful implication alongside with us. Similar to the 1400 children we were able to operate on, William is the proof that our action is not vain and that we must always look ahead.”
Just like William... "Take things at heart, so the others can have one!"
“Thank you, Champion."
